Aweber Intigration

Also has anyone used aweber or an autoresponder service like that to be placed within the signup form? That way we can mass send out messages to a double opt-in list instead of the way it is now which all my emails from my server go directly to their spam folder.

From a techical point of view, I am sure it can be done via the signup panel of you have access the the relevant cgi file.

However, I am not sure what you would gain from that as

(1) You would have the users specified in 2 separate areas. Always difficult to maintain.
(2) It might not be a good idea to send A/R messages from your Autosurfer.
(3) What problems, if any, do you have with the bulk emailer as that is what it should be used for and not an A/R?

It's not about using it as an a/r as so much as getting into the inbox. When i try to email from my account it normally winds up in the spam folder. Using aweber or another company like that has already been whitelisted by many of the isp's. I just want to make sure my messages are getting to my members.

I certainly no expert on A/Rs however, if you set up an AR, what would the sender's email address be? Would that still not be webmaster@trafficmasterpros.com?

I think the onus is on the user to whitelist your email address.

I have just checked the Terms for my site, and there is no mention of whitelisting my address. I'll certainly get my Terms updated.

If he does not whitelist your address then there is nothing you can do apart from removing his account.

Try visiting the Aweber site as they have a support section which tells you how to collect subscribers on your Thank You page, or our register.cgi page.

If you do try this, see if you can get the userid on the AR subscription/confirmation email.

I've gotta try this with Paypal and other payments processors.

Has anyone had any success with the Aweber integration?

I have a problem emailing inactive users, as my site seems to loop whilst emailing them.

Does anyone else have similar problems?
